I am back from my weekend at the coast!!

Hi everyone:
I had a great weekend at the coast. It started out drizzly and cold, and then we had two days of great sunny weather. It was a truly beautiful weekend. All the ladies got along, we had fun together and justed chilled. This first picture is the view I had most of the time, that is me sitting on the deck with my feet up. Please note the grasses in the sand, how East Coast is that???

This is the house we stayed at.
This was my bedroom, and balcony.

View from my upstairs bedroom balcony.

Daytona 500!!

Yes, it's true. Daytona is a big deal in the South. So we have gone to church, and come home to make tons of appetizers, and watch the race. Well, we first decided to play rummy on the deck, and enjoy the warm weather, so here are a few pictures. The one of us cracking up, is because of something Caitlyn said. Bill caught the picture right at the perfect time.
There were so many birds out today. Making happy songs, and flitting about. I love livin' in the South.....

Our new porch furniture and dead plants!!

Okay the two pictures you are seeing are of, our new six seater, bar height dinning table for the deck. As some of you know, we had our previous one damaged in the move, so they are buying us a new set. This one has bar height stools, that actually swivel, so You don't have to move the chair around to get in, you just swivel it and bam, you are ready to go!! Where do you think

I bought it?? A grocery store, called Krogers!!! It was exactly what I have been looking for, and it was so much cheaper than any of the ones I have been looking at. So I asked Bill and he said "yeah, whatever" in his normal excited tones. So I bought it.

The second picture is of my wonderful bargain from Home Depot. Those dead looking plants you see, I got 80% off, because to most people, they just see yucky dead plants, but nooooooooo, not me, I see beautiful white and yellow roses, I see purple and read hydrengas. So why am I sending you this picture??? I knew you would ask that question....well, I am going to send you a picture again this summer, of the beautiful plants they have become after tons of love and care.

I know you are all saying "how can I wait that long to see those plants blooming and coming to life, to the life that Liz created, but alas, you must wait for the next installment of "My dead plants".

Thirty-seven years ago, today!!

KILLER QUAKE
14 Killed, 9 at Two Hospitals;Southland Damage in Millions
Scores TrappedIn Building Ruins
Fourteen persons were killed today, nine of them in hospitals as a minute-long earthquake rolled over Los Angeles and suburbs at 6:02 a.m.
It was the worst recorded quake in the city's history.
Heaviest death toll was in San Fernando Valley, epicenter of the jolting, rumbling temblor.
Hey Mary, do you remember that??? Can you believe it has been 37 years?? That was a day I never forget. Every February 9th, I think about it.

Laughing so hard it hurts!!!

Tonight we had friends over for dinner and cards, and I have to tell you, I laughed so hard, it hurts. My stomach hurts, my head hurts. At one point I was taking a sip of coffee, and it came out my nose. That is painful, let me tell you. So here I sit in pain, but I did have a great evening. It was the ending of a beautiful day. Tons of sunshine, and Bill and I were out and about enjoying it.
Tomorrow we have 9 o'clock church and then we are going to the boat show at the State Fair grounds. We will drool, and covet all the boats we cannot buy, then come home. We are having grilled chicken on the bbq and corn on the cob.
So what is everyone else doing tomorrow?? Lets hear it, I want details.
