Lake Jordan

Wanted to share with you, our day at  Jordan Lake.  Bill and I took off in with our pontoon in tow, Patrick left with the waverunner towed by his truck.  Caitlyn and Justin met us at the boat ramp on Jordan.  It was beautiful and warm, everything packed for a day of fun and sun.

We took off in the pontoon, and Patrick took the waverunner.   About 20 minutes of cruising around and looking for a place to stop and swim, it started getting darker and darker.   The wind started getting pretty fierce, and all of as sudden it started to rain, and it got harder and harder.  The rain was coming in horizontally, and soaking us.  Patrick was on the waverunner, and smiling like a goon.  We realized it wasn't going to let up in a few minutes, so Bill drove over to a island and we beached it on this really pretty beach.  So we decided to jump off the boat and run into the woods, to see if we could get out of most of the rain.  So the five of us in our bathingsuits were running through the trees to get out of the rain, both dogs decide to poop, and we were laughing with water running down our faces.  Caitlyn had (like a good girl) put sunscreen all over her face, it was streaking white cream all down her face and neck.   We started to freeze, the temp probably dropped about 20 degrees.  I saw steam coming off the lake, so I knew the water was warmer than the air, so I talked all of us into getting into the water, I am so glad I did, it was warm and it didn't seem as rainy if you are up to your chin in the water.  Eventually the rain stopped and Justin pulled Patrick on the waverunner with his wakeboard.  He is getting really good.  So Bill, Caitlyn and I started grilling hotdogs and the boys came back and we ate and talked and swam.   We decided to go to a different part of the lake, we had just gotten off the island and it got dark, dark, dark and it started to pour again.  So we all looked at each other and said "lets go home"  we laughed and had to go all the way back to the ramp.  Patrick was trying to drive the waverunner, and it was pouring, Caitlyn and I just cracked up.  So our day ended early but look at the story we had to tell.  The only thing to make that day better, would be if all my family was with us.
Love you all!!!

Caitlyn and Justins Black Banding Ceremony

Black Banding is a tradition of nurses from the 1800's, it is a celebration of a Student Nurse becoming a Upperclassman/woman. It was a amazing ceremony. Very traditional, you felt a part of history going through it. Being a Watts Nurse is quite a honor I have found out.

There was a thing called the Santa Filomena Tapping on the program. So you really don't know what it is until it happened. It is one of the oldest Honor Society in America. Past Santa Filomena Nurses come in from the back of the room, and tap the chosen honor students on the shoulder with a white carnation. Once you are a Santa Filomena, you will always be. Anyhow, both Caitlyn and Justin were tapped on the shoulder!!! Only four people were chosen, and they were two of them!! All their studying paid off!!

Anyhow, I wish my Sister Mary and my Mom were there to watch, they both would have loved it.

Berger/Dixon weekend at Hyco Lake

Hi family and Friends;
This past weekend we went to Hyco Lake with the Dixons (Justins family). They had rented a darling house right on the lake with a awesome boat house. We had a wonderful time, it was beautiful weather (thanks to Lizzys hard, nonstop praying, right Ken?).
Patrick was able to use his new wake board and he did amazing, even jumped a wake!!!!
Liz went out on the waverunner, after not being on it in two years. Oh yeah, I went slowly down the canal, then when I hit the open water, I took off, and the darn thing is so powerful, that I almost went ass over tin cups. Scared me, so I went slower after that until I got used to it. I went all by myself over to a island and just drove really slow around it and enjoyed the freedom. It was amazing!! Then I cruised around and looked at all the Million dollar homes, wow, people have to much money!

Ken and Karen (Justin's parents) were awesome. Ken cooked our meals and we had a really good time. Thank you Dixons!! We love you and are so grateful for this weekend.
